STOCKHOLM, Sweden - Organizers say Grammy-winning soul and hip hop singer Mary J. Blige will perform at this year's Stockholm Jazz Festival.
Festival spokeswoman Liisa Tolonen said Monday Blige will join Irish singer Van Morrison and U.S. singer-songwriter rocker Patti Smith as the headline acts at the four-day festival that starts on July 16.
The Bronx-born singer canceled a performance earlier this spring in the Swedish capital for what organizers said was "technical reasons."
The Stockholm Jazz festival celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and is expected to attract around 25,000 people.
It is one of Sweden's biggest music events, and has previously hosted stars such as Lauryn Hill, Sting, Stevie Wonder, Ella Fitzgerald and Dizzy Gillespie.
